<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a CPU chip at high speed in the vicinity of a threshold frequency by promptly and exactly reflecting the amount of the heat generation of the CPU chip on the temperature control of the chip and fully making use of performance which the CPU chip has in electronic equipment on which a CPU board is mounted. <P>SOLUTION: A portable computer with which an extension unit can be connected is formed with a ventilation opening so that cooling wind is fed from a cooling fan provided in the extension unit into a heat generating built-in chip inside the portable computer when the extension unit is mounted on a mounting part on which the extension unit is mounted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
