METHOD OF PRODUCING CRYSTALLINE LITHIUM/VANADIUM OXIDE POWDER

The production of a mixed crystalline lithium and vanadium oxide powder comprises: (a) formation of an aqueous suspension from a paste of NH4VO3 and lithia monohydrated powder; (b) continuous dehydration of the suspension in a current of hot gas at a temperature between 200 and 600 degreesC to form a dry precursor powder with a granulometry between 10 and 100 mum; (c) calcination of the precursor at a temperature between 380 and 580 degreesC to form a crystalline powder of lithium and vanadium oxide.
