A thin flexible printing plate 11 is secured to a printing cylinder 2 by clamping jaws 3, 4 pivotally mounted longitudinally of the cylinder in a cylinder recess 1. An elastic cord 12 is jammed into the gap between the plate ends 9 and 10. The jaws 3, 4 which bear respective serrated faces 7, 8 are biased into the plate-engaging position by a spring-loaded plunger 16 which bears against one end of a lever 15 secured to the jaw shaft 6. The jaw shaft 5, which carries the jaws 3, is pivotally adjustable by a bolt arrangement 17 to provide plate registration adjustment. |
