A platform comprises at least one platform unit comprising a flexible platform <B>14</B> and means to secure the platform unit to a fixed structure. The platform may include a hand-rail and a spacer to space the hand-rail from the platform unit. The platform may include a toe-board.A plurality of spacers may be provided which extend, in use, out of the plane of the platform unit. The platform unit may be formed from a low-stretch composite material. The platform may comprise a plurality of platform units, each platform unit being adapted to connect with an adjacent platform unit. Each platform unit may have a sleeve portion <B>20, 22</B> at an edge. Elongate rigid members may be provided to extend through the sleeve portions <B>20, 22</B>. The rigid members may be connectable end to end. Connector blocks may be provided to connect adjacent rigid members. Tensioners, which may be Y-shaped ties <B>44,</B> may be provided to secure the platform unit(s) to a fixed structure. Each Y-shaped tie <B>44</B> may connect to the fixed structure at one point and to the platform unit at two points. |
