<p>Disclosed herein is a composition, which comprises a fiber reinforced material made from a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) material obtained by processing waste plastics, such as PET bottles, conforming to the use purposes of construction materials for reinforced of mortar, concrete, or shotcrete, and a cutting apparatus for use in the manufacture of the fiber reinforced material. Instead of existing steel fiber, glass fiber, nylon, rayon and cotton fibers, polypropylene and polyethylene fibers, and carbon fiber, the fiber reinforced material of the present invention is manufactured by collecting and recycling waste plastics, such as PET bottles, or other polyethylene terephthalate material products, and cutting a resultant mixture to have constant shapes. The fiber reinforced material is mixed into mortar, concrete, or shotcrete for reinforced thereof, thereby serving to restrict the generation and expansion of cracks therein, and thus increase toughness, bending strength, wear-resistance, and shock-resistance thereof.</p> |
