The method involves replacing information contents of non-selected voxels in an image (311), by a null value. Contents of voxels of an image (312) are balanced by a constant coefficient. Region growth algorithm is applied to contents of voxels of a final image. An evolution state of the algorithm is visualized on a computer screen by displaying voxels storing particular values. A stop criterion is defined to end the evolution.
