The device has a two heat transfer units with two solid bushes (15, 16) fixed on a cylinder head (6). The solid bush (15) with lower thermal conductivity limits the evacuation of heat at a proximal portion of an injection nozzle (4) of a fuel injector (1), and the bush (16) evacuates the heat at a distal portion of the nozzle, to cool the nozzle. The bushes have bores (18, 19) permitting a passage for the nozzle. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle (b) a method of controlling temperature of a fuel injector of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle.
