PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation stay for a bottom-hinged hopper window, superior in safety, by automatically resetting the ventilation stay in a ventilation state, while regulating opening of the window in a ventilation position and a full opening position only by one rein arm. SOLUTION: This ventilation stay includes the rein arm 10 having one end connected to the window 2, a slider 11 connected to the other end of the rein arm 10, a guide rail 12 fixed to an opening frame 1 and guiding and supporting the slider 11, a regulating mechanism for regulating the movement of the slider 11 in the ventilation position, and a reset mechanism. The regulating mechanism is composed of a capturing lever 33 for engaging and capturing the slider 11, a spring 34 for engaging and energizing the capturing lever 33, and a switching tool 35 for operating the capturing lever 33 in an engagement releasing attitude in a switching system. The window 2 can be fully opened by releasing regulation of the slider 11 by the capturing lever 33 by operating the capturing lever 33 in the engagement releasing attitude by the switching tool 35 in a switching system. The reset mechanism is composed of a lock body 50 for holding the switching tool 35 in an operation position and a lock position, and a releasing tool 28 for releasing a lock of the lock body 50 by following and moving after the slider 11.
