A processing device and display system provides different functions used in delivering healthcare to a patient. A plurality of different individual modules includes at lest one of: (a) a patient monitoring module for acquiring and processing signals derived from sensors suitable for attachment to a patient; and (b) a patient treatment module for providing treatment to a patient. A central processor exchanges data with the plurality of modules and processes signals derived from at least one of the plurality of different modules. A display generator initiates generation of data representing at least one user interface image including processed signal information of at least one of the plurality of different modules.
