The adaptor is operable in a portable radio network and the adaptor makes communication to a mobile telephone (1) for possible Bluetooth (RTM) able equipment (12) e.g. hands free devices in a vehicle. The functional range of the Bluetooth (RTM) adapter (6) is controlled by the mobile telephone. The Bluetooth (RTM) adapter is controlled during an existing radio link of the mobile telephone when active.
