<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical filling/packaging method, which prevents an accident, such as the rupture of a bag upon using it, enables a filling process on heating, gives the bag sufficient pressure strength to hold a viscous material of a medium weight, and make the bag easily openable so that a content can be taken out by keeping the original shape. <P>SOLUTION: According to the vertical filling/packaging method, a strip film having the thermally weldable inner surface is fed sequentially from the upper side to the lower side. In this feeding process, the surface of one end of the film is subjected to a flare process or a pleat process to form a cylindrical shape, which has a vertical overlapping part that is welded vertically by heat to form a package. In forming the package, a corrugated portion having an easily grabbable non-welded part is formed on the outer edge side of the vertically welded part, while a straight portion is formed on the inner edge side of the same. Then the lower end of the cylindrical, elongated package is welded horizontally by heat and the package is filled with the viscous material, and then the upper end of the package containing the material is sealed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
