<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner easy to maintain, in which dust adhered to an air filter can be sucked with a smaller power without removing the air filter from a body. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner comprises the air filter 2 for collecting dust contained in the air flowing into a heat exchanger (not shown); a sucking nozzle 3 laterally movable along the upstream-side surface of the air filter 2; and a suction apparatus 6 connected to the sucking nozzle 3. The sucking nozzle 3 comprises a strip film 9 with a sucking pore 11 movable in a direction orthogonal to the moving direction of the sucking nozzle 3. The whole area of the air filter 2 is cleaned by moving the sucking nozzle 3 and the film 9, respectively.
