<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translucent antenna having a sufficient conductivity and high transparency causing no hindrance to the field of view and capable of dealing with complex profile. <P>SOLUTION: The translucent antenna comprises a conductive layer of an arbitrary geometrical pattern, e.g. a lattice pattern having line width of 2-40μm, formed on a transparent substrate. The conductive layer has a pattern pitch not longer than a quarter of a wavelength being transmitted or received and not shorter than ten times of the line width. The conductive layer may be formed by etching a metal foil by arranging thin metal wires substantially in parallel, by combining a plurality of wiring bodies arranged with thin metal wires substantially in parallel to conduct each other, by printing conductive ink, by coating a transparent substrate with photosensitive conductive ink and patterning the ink through exposure and development, or by metal plating a woven cloth produced by plain weaving short synthetic fibers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
