摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve picture quality by properly adjusting the phase of a timing signal for sampling and holding, and A/D conversion as front-end processing. SOLUTION: Considering the phase relation between an imaging signal and the timing signal when the front-end processing of the imaging signal is performed while no light is incident on a solid-state imaging element array, differences between picked-up image data of arbitrary pixels are large in a state wherein no phase adjustment is made. When, however, phase adjustment is made to make the differences small, the phase relation is considered to be optimized. While the phase state of the timing signal as to sample holding processing and A/D conversion processing is changed and set in a state incident light to the solid-state imaging element array is cut off, arithmetic processing of a plurality of picked-up image data inputted as to a plurality of pixels in an effective image area of a pixel sensor means is performed in respective phase states to decide a phase state wherein the differences become small, and the timing signal is adjusted into the decided phase state to optimize the phase of the timing signal.
