PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide resin belt excellent in durability by improving balance between flexibility and rigidity. SOLUTION: The polyimide resin belt is obtained by adding a catalyst to a polyamic acid solution which is a precursor of a polyimide resin belt in an amount of 0.04-1.5 mol equiv. per polyamide unit of the polyamic acid solution, mixing these and forming the mixture into a film, when a double polyimide resin belt is obtained by forming a tubular outer layer made of a fluorocarbon resin on the peripheral surface of a belt comprising a polyimide resin containing fluorocarbon resin powder. With respect to folding endurance stipulated by JIS P8110 and trouser tear strength stipulated by JIS K7128, this polyimide resin belt is≥1.3 times as high as a polyimide resin belt containing no catalyst.
