PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray filter allowing safe handling, and capable of transmitting a pseudo-homogeneous X-ray having excellent monochromic property in an energy band easy to absorb a contrast medium. SOLUTION: This X-ray filter is provided with a glass member containing at least two kinds of elements as a composition selected out of a plurality of kinds of elements having a K-absorption end within an X-ray energy range of 35eV or more to 47eV or less. The glass member is constituted to contain the plurality of kinds of elements having a K-absorption end within the X-ray energy range of 35eV or more to 47eV or less containing the elements as the composition, having a stimulative property and toxicity, and low-stable in the atmosphere when formed into a metal plate, as the composition in the glass member. The X-ray filter is thereby handled safely, and the pseudo-homogeneous X-ray having the excellent monochromic property is transmitted in the energy band easy to absorb the contrast medium.
