PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel inside cooling system capable of suitably cooling a desired place such as the vicinity of a tunnel cutting face, without separately arranging a large-scale facility. SOLUTION: This cooling system 1 has an ice heat accumulating tank 3 and a fan coil unit 4. A cold water pipe is passed through the ice heat accumulating tank 3, and the cold water pipe is also connected to a cooling coil in the fan coil unit 4. Wind is blown upon the cooling coil from a fan, and this wind is supplied in a mountain tunnel T as a cold wind, to cool the inside of the mountain tunnel T. When ice of the ice heat accumulating tank 3 melts, ice is manufactured in the ice heat accumulating tank 3 by an ice making chiller 7 arranged outside the mountain tunnel T.
