PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for optical fiber coating, which is excellent in anti-tearing strength when being notched and in water-loss resistance. SOLUTION: A radical-polymerizable oligomer (A) contains a polymerizable oligomer A1 having an Mn of 600-1,600 obtained by reacting (1) an aliphatic polyol having an Mn of 50-600 and a chain structure, (2) a polyisocyanate having a cyclic structure, and (3) a compound having a hydroxy group and a radical-polymerizable unsaturated group, and a polymerizable oligomer A2 obtained by reacting (4) an aliphatic polyol having an Mn of 800-10,000 and a chain structure, (5) a polyisocyanate and (6) a compound having a hydroxy group and a polymerizable unsaturated group in the same molecule. A radical-polymerizable monomer (B) contains a polymerizable monomer (B1) having two or more polymerizable unsaturated bonds and an alicyclic structure. The resin composition for optical fiber coating contains the radical-polymerizable oligomer (A) and the radical-polymerizable monomer (B), and in the composition, the mass ratio of A1 to A is 20/80 to 80/20, and the content of urethane bond is 1.85-3.00 mol/kg.
