The electrical device (1) has a housing (4) which is snap-fitted to the carrier rail (2) via a reception guide (6) of the housing with retaining noses (9,10) for the edges of the carrier rail on its opposite sides, one of which is moved between a retaining position and a release position via a slider (13). A spring element which biases the slider in the direction of the retaining position cooperates with a locking element, a second spring element with a lesser spring force cooperating with the carrier rail adjacent the retaining nose.
