CONTENT DISTRIBUTION METHOD AND CONTENT SERVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution method by which a user can efficiently acquire a protection release tool without wasting a time, to perform the reproduction of a content or the like.

SOLUTION: The content distribution method includes steps of; performing protection processing for protecting the copyright of the content; determining a use condition of the content; describing a first digital item which has the content or an address of the content and is capable of internally defining the other digital item or a second digital item internally defining the first digital item, in a digital item declaration form; packaging the first or second declared digital item; and distributing the first or second packaged digital item to a user terminal. Both declaration relating to protection processing and declaration relating to the use condition are described in the first digital item.
