METHOD, DEVICE, AND PROGRAM FOR EDGE ADJUSTMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce blur in an image obtained by enlarging or contracting a digital image.

SOLUTION: An edge detection part 10 detects an edge positioned between pixels of an image SO. An edge uniting part 20 together unites two edges at a position near a middle pixel among three pixels when an edge is detected in either of two mutually adjoining edges among three serially adjoining pixels on the image SO. An interpolation operation part 30 calculates the pixel value of an interpolation pixel by performing an interpolation operation by means of pixels positioned on the same side as the interpolation pixel with respect to the united pixels.
