<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from stopping sound produced by an alarm clock, before reaching fully wakeful state. <P>SOLUTION: The alarm clock is provided with an electrically driven electronic buzzer, which produces sound at the predetermined time and a voice switch which switches off the electronic buzzer when a voice having a predetermined volume or higher is detected. Thereby, the user has to make the alarm clock detect a voice having predetermined volume or more to stop the sound produced by the alarm clock, and must raise a loud voice to stop the alarm clock.
