A process for producing a color filter for image sensor that enables obtaining pixels constituted in approximately rectangular form and excelling in sectional pattern profile and that even when post-baking or the like is carried out, enables effectively preventing any deformation of dye-containing pixels. There is provided a process for producing a color filter for image sensor, comprising the step of coating a substrate directly or via another layer with a dye-containing photocurable composition and drying them so as to form a coating film; the step of exposing the coating film to light; the step of subjecting the exposed coating film to alkali development; and the step of irradiating the coating film after the alkali development with ultraviolet rays while heating the same at 20 to 50˚C.
