摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium, wherein wobble amplitude is optimized and which has satisfactory reproduced signal intensity and recording characteristics, and to provide an optical information recording method which uses the optical information recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium, having a write-once type recording layer containing a dye and a cover layer having 0.01 to 0.5 mm thickness on a substrate having 0.7 to 2 mm thickness in this order, has a pre-groove formed in the substrate has 50 to 500 nm track pitch, 25 to 250 nm groove width, 5 to 150 nm groove depth and 5 to 40 nm wobble amplitude. In the optical information recording method, recording is performed, by having the optical information recording medium irradiated with a laser beam having 100 to 600 nm wavelength from the cover layer side, to form pits in the write-once type recording layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
