<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fundus camera for imaging excellent images of a fundus oculi without influences of flare, smear, and blooming. <P>SOLUTION: The images of the fundus oculi are imaged by a TV camera 20A that uses a CCD as an image pickup device. A controlling part 40 detects whether a light shielding point 16b of a small diameter is used for imaging. If the controlling part 40 detects the use of the light shielding point 16b, the controlling part 40 transmits the data of the fundus oculi to a masking processing part 47 and controls the masking processing part 47 to perform the masking processing on the image of the fundus oculi. The masking processing is especially performed on a region corresponding to reflected light at a lens of eye. The image is stored in an image memory part 41 and is displayed on a display part 42. If the controlling part 40 detects that the light shielding point 16b is not used, the image is displayed on the display part 42 as it is without performing masking processing.
