<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide organic electrolyte, and to provide a lithium battery using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electrolyte composed of lithium salt and an organic solvent contains a compound compounded by introducing a component, capable of chelating lithium metal cation in an anion-polymerizable monomer. Reliability of the lithium battery is improved by adopting this electrolyte. The organic electrolyte not only reduces irreversible capacity at a first cycle (an initial cycle) by improving safety of reduction decomposition, but also improves charging/discharging efficiency and prolongs the life time. Further, since chemical conversion at ambient temperature and thickness after standard charging do not exceed a fixed norm, reliability of the battery can be improved. Further, since the electrolyte is superior in recovering capacity, after being left alone at high temperature, it can keep at a prescribed capacity, even at a temperature which makes the thickness of the battery swell most prominently, and hardly generates problems in use. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
