<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand an area wherein a virtual sound image effect can be obtained by a virtual sound field localization device capable of localizing a sound image where no speaker is installed. <P>SOLUTION: The virtual sound image localization device comprises 1st and 2nd speaker drivers which are arranged at a 1st position and a 2nd position different therefrom, 3rd and 4th speaker drivers which are arranged at a 3rd position and a 4th position different therefrom, and a virtualizer that processes an input signal to obtain a virtual sound source at an arbitrary position when a sound is listened to at a specified position and then outputs a 1st output signal to the 1st speaker driver and 3rd speaker driver and a 2nd output signal to the 2nd speaker driver and 4th speaker driver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
