<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector for a golf club which can be manufactured at low costs and which is good to use. <P>SOLUTION: This protector for the golf club consists of: a cylindrical shaft housing to which a shaft is inserted; and a head cover provided at the upper part of this shaft housing for covering a head. The shaft housing and the head cover are connected with each other through an elastic member, and this elastic member is designated to be freely bendable. Further, through the elastic member, the head cover is movable forward and backward with respect to the stretching direction of the shaft housing.
