PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting accelerator for cement, which contains calcium hydroxide as a major component and has a high setting accelerating effect but does not have harmful effects on the quality after hardening, especially on the durability, and a cement composition containing the same. SOLUTION: The setting accelerator for cement comprises calcium hydroxide whose average particle diameter is≤5μm and the cement composition contains the setting accelerator of 0.05-20 pts.wt. vs. the cement of 100 pts.wt. As the calcium hydroxide, a wet-ground calcium hydroxide and a minute precipitate formed by a reaction of a calcium salt and an alkali hydroxide are suitably used. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
