PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver capable of skipping a commercial message while a user views a program in real time. SOLUTION: The receiver is provided with: a storage means for storing a video signal and an audio signal of a received television broadcast program to a storage medium; a reproduction means for reading the video signal and the audio signal from the storage medium and outputting the video signal and the audio signal to a video monitor and an audio monitor; and a control means for controlling the reproduction means to reproduce the video signal and the audio signal of the television broadcast program stored in the storage medium at a prescribed speed lower than an ordinary reproduction speed in a way of skipping a prescribed part in the television program.
