DRIVING DEVICE OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the driving device of a plasma display panel (PDP) with which the prevention of the occurrence of high-frequency noise and the stabilization of a system can be achieved, and the electric power consumption at the time of switching drive can be reduced by using the electric capacitance of the PDP and the resonance characteristic of a coil disposed in the driving device. SOLUTION: The driving device of the PDP which supplies a scanning base pulse comprising a fixed voltage to a plurality of row electrodes of the PDP during a scanning period and sequentially supplies a scanning pulse to the plurality of the row electrodes superposing it on the scanning base pulse is equipped with a driving means for driving the panel at the time of rise and/or fall of the scanning base pulse. The driving means includes a coil and ensures the rise and/or fall of the scanning base pulse by the resonance due to the coil and the capacitance of the PDP. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
