PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet molding compound (SMC) which is a molding material used for bathroom equipment such as a bathtub, washing place pan, and bath room wall panel, panel knock down type water tank, septic tank, and the like, has excellent transparency, and gives a deep sense. SOLUTION: This sheet molding compound prepared by impregnating a fiber substrate with an unsaturated polyester resin composition comprising an unsaturated polyester resin, a polymerizing monomer, a low shrinkage material, a curing material, a polymerization inhibitor, a coloring material (pigment), a thickener, and a filler is characterized by using an ultrafine particulate pigment having an average particle diameter of≤60 nm as a coloring material. It is preferable that the ultrafine particulate pigment is contained in 10 to 500 ppm based on the unsaturated polyester resin composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
