PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of efficiently carrying out mixing without providing a guide and a rib for stirring air in a downstream side of a heat exchanger for heating. SOLUTION: The air conditioner for the vehicle is provided with an air conditioning case constituting an air passage in which air flows into a cabin; and the heat exchanger for heating arranged in the air conditioning case and heating the air. The heat exchanger for heating is provided with at least a first heat exchange part and a second heat exchange part and is provided with a cooling air flow passage opened between the first heat exchange part and the second heat exchange part and opened/closed by a cooling air flow passage opening/closing means; and a heat source fluid control means for controlling the flow of the heat source fluid flowing in the first heat exchange part and the second heat exchange part and separating the first heat exchange part and the second heat exchange part to a heat source fluid flowing-in area for over-heating the air and a heat source fluid non-flowing-in area for not heating the air.
