Process for recognizing the slip point of a clutch comprises closing the clutch from an open position beyond a starting clutch slip point determined earlier so that defined starting conditions can be determined. The clutch is then opened until a defined differential speed is determined between a drive speed of a drive unit and a driving branch speed of a driving branch. The differential speed is used to determine the clutch position and thus the clutch slip point. Independent claims are also included for: (1) Device for recognizing the slip point of a clutch; and (2) Drive branch, especially for a vehicle, comprising the above device.
