<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display operating apparatus that is capable of performing icon display and selective setting according to the intention of a user and has high operability as a result. <P>SOLUTION: The display operating apparatus is provided with: an icon image storage means 4a for storing and holding various icons; a display part 7 for displaying guide information and function information required for operating a device; a display operation control part 1 that selectively reads a desired icon from the icon image storage means 4a and assigns it to function information indicated on the display part 7; and a storage means for storing and holding the function to which the icon is assigned by the display operation control part 1, as function information with an icon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
