<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head with a larger coefficient of resilience. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club head 1 comprises a front body 10 made of an amorphous metal material, an FRP body 20, a sole plate 30 made of a metal and a weight material 40. The front body 10 has a face part 2, a metallic sole part 13, a metallic side part (toe) 14, a metallic crown part 15, a metallic side plate (heel) 16 and a hosel part 6. A clearance of 4-12 mm or so is given between the front side 31 of the sole plate 30 and the metallic sole part 13, making the FRP body 20.
