摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out correct measurement of an optical emission element by a measuring body with a plurality of light receiving parts. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has an exposure head where a plurality of the optical emission elements corresponding to pixels of image data to be exposed are set in a horizontal scanning direction, and the measuring body including the plurality of light receiving parts aligned in a direction nearly orthogonal to the horizontal scanning direction of the optical emission elements. The image forming apparatus is equipped with a quantity of light measuring means for moving the measuring body in the horizontal scanning direction and measuring an optical emission quantity of light of the optical emission elements which is received by the light receiving parts of the measuring body, and a control means for controlling exposure driving conditions of each optical emission element at the time of image formation on the basis of the measured result by the quantity of light measuring means at the measurement time. Supposing that a width of the light receiving part is X, a length of the light receiving part is Y, a moving speed of the measuring body is V, and a time while the measuring body is taking light from one optical emission element is T, the measuring body is disposed to tilt by a tilting angleθwhich satisfies VT=Ycosθin a direction to be close to parallel from a direction orthogonal to the horizontal scanning direction of the optical emission element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
