PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an authentication protocol from being analyzed even if authentication communication is intercepted repeatedly. SOLUTION: When newly connected at least for the first time, an authentication device executes authentication protocol processing of a certification device, and issues a specific ID and a cipher key effective only between the authentication device and the certification device. When connected for the second time or later and when power is turned on, the authentication device executes only confirmation of the specific ID without executing the authentication protocol processing, and restricts occasions for unauthorized analysis of the authentication protocol to the minimum. Even when newly connected, occasions for unauthorized analysis of the authentication protocol are reduced by placing constraints on the number of times of new connections and a period of the new connection, after the authentication processing is executed.
