PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize fast, light-load message verification for preventing an illegal message from being sent through sender impersonation. SOLUTION: A sender authenticating device 10 generates a sender code for authenticating that the sender is a correct user capable of using message service by performing arithmetic processing using a specified key and a user's sender address as arguments. A message receiver 20, when receiving signature data signed with the sender code from a sender terminal 1 together with a message, generates a verification code through arithmetic processing similar to that in the generation of the sender code by using the sender address of the message and a specified key as arguments, generates signature data for verification which is signed with the verification code, and decides whether the signature data received from the sender terminal 1 matches the signature data for verification to verify that the sender code is valid.
