PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device for a plastic case simplified in its structure, which is miniaturized to achieve reduction of production cost and is capable of automatically and properly deciding whether the grasping part of the plastic case has been damaged. SOLUTION: This inspection device of the plastic case is equipped with a pair of case moving parts 12 for moving the plastic case toward the downstream side of a feed direction at a predetermined speed, while holding both mutually opposed side plates 4a and 4b of the fed-in plastic case 2, a pressing part for applying pressing force to the grasping part of the plastic case and a damage detecting means for detecting the damage part of the grasping part, to which pressing force is applied. The pressing part includes press rollers 14, integrally incorporated in the pair of the case moving parts and has a structure for applying pressing force to the insides of both side plates from the outside, with respect to the grasping part of the plastic case, along with the movement of a pair of the case moving parts. Further, the damage detecting means is constituted so as to irradiate the grasping part of the plastic case with a light from above, to detect damages in the grasping part.
