PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weight type water level detector that prevents a sensor from being directly exposed to drain, has improved durability, and does not malfunction. SOLUTION: On the way to a piping path 2 from a water source 1 to a water supply destination, a metering cylinder 3 for connecting an upper part to an upstream side 2a as an inflow port 3a and connecting a lower part to a downstream side 2b as an outflow port 3b is provided. A bottom surface 6 of the metering cylinder 3 is in a movable structure, where the bottom surface 6 is deformed and operated up and down according to a change in weight following a change in the flow rate of the inflow water from the water source 1. A weight type sensor 7 operated by receiving the deformation operation is arranged directly below the metering cylinder 3, thus performing substitution determination to a water level in the cylinder of inflow water into the metering cylinder 3, based on a weight signal detected by the weight type sensor 7.
