PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely reduce the amount of oil leaking into a combustion chamber through an outer circumference of a valve body from a rocker arm with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A seat surface portion 9-1a to which an adjusting screw 17 of a rocker arm 9 is fixed is integrally interlocked to a side wall portion 9-1b which is curved downward on both side faces and tip side from the seat surface portion 9-1a with the adjusting screw 17 as its pivot, and a hood portion for covering a valve cotter 14 and a spring retainer 15 in an umbrella manner is formed. Thus, oil stagnation caused by oil drip from the rocker arm 9 to upper surfaces of the valve cotter 14 and the spring retainer 15 can be prevented, the amount of oil flowing into the combustion chamber from clearance between a valve guide 12 and a valve stem 5a through a stem seal 13 from a gap in the valve cotter 14 can be reduced, and the amount of oil consumption can be restrained from becoming large, therefore exhaust emission deterioration caused by oil combustion can be avoided.
