PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for producing at least two fiber continua realizing alignment of the fiber continua at reduced intervals in a cutting region, and as a result, regarding to the cutting quality, material fatigue and noise generation of a specific mechanical member, reducing or completely eliminating troubles caused from the increased speed of the continua in cutting the continua in cutting direction. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the apparatus in which a guiding device is set to reduce the interval of the fiber continua 8 to a predetermined minimum value in front of a cutting device 12 in the movement of the fiber continua 8 in the direction to the cutting device 12.
