PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small sized connector yet preventing incorrect fitting of different kinds of connectors. SOLUTION: An expanded portion 40 which is made along the front end root portion so as to widen the front end root portion of a lock arm 13 in width direction is provided at the upper side of the housing main part 12 of a female housing 10, and an incorrect fitting prevention part 50 for allowing insertion of the expanded portion 40 according to the insertion engagement operation of both housings 10, 20 is included in the engagement recess 23 of a male housing 20. When the female housing 10 is engaged normally, the expanded portion 40 is inserted into the incorrect fitting prevention part 50, and when the female housing 10 is to be engaged with a different kind of male housing 30 which is not the regular engagement partner, the expanded portion 40 interferes with the aperture edge of a hood part 32 and restricts the entering of the female housing 10 into the hood part 32.
