<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a viscous agent for papermaking, capable of imparting dispersibility to a paper fiber even when being added with a cationic polymer or a cationic chemical in the papermaking of tissue paper, towel paper, and the like, also capable of improving the stability and production efficiency of papermaking, being inexpensive, having a high performance and also easy to handle. <P>SOLUTION: This papermaking viscous agent contains an acrylamide-based copolymer obtained by copolymerizing acrylamide with at least a vinyl-based monomer having an anionic group, and the acrylamide-based copolymer satisfies the following viscosity conditions. The viscosity of a table salt aqueous solution containing the acrylamide-based copolymer and 4 mass% table salt is higher than that of a pure water solution of the acrylamide-based copolymer having the same concentration as that in the table salt aqueous solution (Viscosity conditions). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
