<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle in which the compatibility between operability and fuel consumption is realized. <P>SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle comprises a means (step 2) for setting a travel mode alteration forbidding time of the vehicle, a means (step 3) for predicting transition in the charging state of an energy storage device within the forbidding time thus set, and a means (step 4) for limiting the charging/discharging power of the energy storage device when alteration of travel mode is predicted within the forbidding time based on the predicted transition in the charging state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
