<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED holder which can efficiently packaging a light emitting diode, prevent an external force from being applied to the light emitting diode, and keep constant the illumination angle and illumination range of the light emitting diode with a predetermined angle. <P>SOLUTION: The wall of a substantially C-shape surrounding a light emitting diode 1 and having a gap is provided to prevent an external force from being applied to the diode 1, and to prevent diffusion of light toward its side and back. The wall is provided with a fall preventer 5 for preventing a holder 2 from falling down and with engagements 19 for reliably fixing the holder 2 and a printed circuit board 7, when the holder 2 is mounted to the printed circuit board 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
