<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light sampling measuring instrument and method capable of obtaining sampling pulse light synchronized with measured light to measure the measured light, without supplying an electric signal from an outside. <P>SOLUTION: In this light sampling measuring instrument, the measured light P4 emitted from a light source part 10, and the sampling pulse light P5 (P6) emitted from an active mode synchronized fiber laser 21 are made to get incident into a nonlinear optical element 24 to conduct equivalent time sampling of the measured light P4. A sum frequency light P8 emitted from the nonlinear optical element 24 is received by a photoreceiver 25, and an obtained photoreception signal S2 is fed back to control a repetition frequency of the active mode synchronized fiber laser 21 by a control part 29. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
