PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system, a route-changing method, and a displayed POI changing method that specify traffic event and maneuver types to be avoided for changing a route to the destination. SOLUTION: A series of data for indicating an item, such as traffic event and traffic maneuver items that are encountered, when a user travels according to a calculated route, are displayed, so that the user is allowed to select the kind of items to be avoided in a new route to the destination; and the new route is calculated again according to the selection of the user, and the new route guides the user to the destination. Additionally, the category of the POI encountered when the user travels according to the calculated route is displayed, the instruction for selecting the category of the POI to be removed from the display is given, and the category of the selected POI is removed from the display.
