PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system and an image processing apparatus wherein the size of information codes can be reduced. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus uses at least part of a document image for a processing object, applies low resolution processing to the processing object image, generates a pattern image on the basis of the low resolution image obtained by the low resolution processing, and composes the pattern image with the document image to generate a composite document image.
